Thousands of kilometres of line pipe for transmission pipelines carrying gas, oil water or sewage has been produced in mills using ESAB equipment, consumables and process technology.

ESAB has been involved in a number of well-known projects - longitudinally welded line pipe for the Sahkalin project, where Vyksa in Russia used ESAB equipment and consumables in the production of the pipes. US Steel in Kosice, Slovakia, is another example where they recently upgraded their mill with ESAB equipment to produce spirally welded pipes.
