Round Steel Chain Manufacturing

This fully automatic chain making installation is designed for automatic production of round steel chain with material diameter 18-34 mm.

The following types of chains can be produced:

* Anchor chain
* Buoy mooring chain
* Various types of stud link or studless chain
* Mining chain (conveyor and coal plow chain)
* Lifting, handling and transport chain
* Kiln chain (with round or oblong links)
* Logging and agricultural chain
* Other short or long link chain of similar type without studs

The installation is a "carousel type" installation in which the chain is formed and welded in hot condition.

In this high production one man operated installation, a complete chain is produced, starting with straight steel bars cut to a certain length.

The first installation of this type at Krasny Yakor in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, was installed in 1976 and has been followed by a further ten installations.
